Started in 2002, originally to keep working with a few select writers after the sale of Momentum Music, 4AD Music Publishing has since forged various partnerships, like Mattitude Music LLC – which was formed in conjunction with the owners of Matador Records (now publishing the likes of Cat Power, Belle & Sebastian and Sonic Youth) – and XL Music Publishing (now publishing Holy Fuck and Air France).
In the meantime, 4AD Music Publishing has directly signed some exciting new talent including Emma Pollock, It Hugs Back, Dark Horses and most recently Pete And The Pirates, via an association with Stolen Music LTD. An association which additionally signed Screaming Tea Party and My Sad Captains.
4AD Music Publishing remains distinguished, focused on its writers and determinedly independent, administering its own rights in full service office backed with uniquely experienced management. The values are traditional, honest and the company will do everything it can to add value to a writerʼs life and career.
